Media Headlines Project

Inspired by a conversation in my POL 228 class, Black Women in Politics and Media, I decided to start a personal project to engage with visual art and media headlines.

Through this project, I learned more about the intricate power that media headlines and associated imagery has on the reader’s experience with news publications.

For each date, the left page is a feature for general news headlines throughout the week and the right page is a feature for COVID-19 specific news headlines.

All content, text, and images, are from the New York Times online publication.
